Daphné Desjeux

Daphné Desjeux

Interior designer

Daphné Desjeux" is an interior architecture and design agency. Let's take a look back at her career... Since childhood, Daphné Desjeux has been inextricably linked to the world of show business and set design. She grew up in the heights of Montmartre, where her parents, passionate about bistro decor, took her every weekend to hunt for stylish furniture. Their home, with its large counter serving as a dining table and beer tap dispensing water, resembles an antique café. Her mother, a model agent, regularly takes her to the Carrousel du Louvre to watch the fashion shows. It was there that Daphné fell in love with the backstage scenes, the costumes and, above all, the unique sets created from a single blank page. The world of the circus, in particular her years with Annie Fratellini's troupe, enriched her love of extraordinary, festive sets. Daphné Desjeux graduated from the École Boulle with a diploma in interior design, finally immersing herself in the world she loves. Ten years ago, she founded her first company specializing in hotels and catering, creating several iconic Parisian hotels (the Sookie, La Planque, Le Louvre Piemont, the Bob, the Snob, the Handsome, etc.) and restaurants, such as the "Mimosa" restaurant on Place de la Concorde, for which Jean-Francois Piege designed the menu on behalf of Moma Groupe. After some fifteen projects, Daphné decided to work under her own name to be in perfect harmony with her creative universe. Two years ago, she founded her eponymous agency. Projects followed in quick succession, including the Hotel Babel and the Maria Belza restaurant.... Paris Society contacted her with the idea of creating an entirely new brand, "Mondaine", aimed at reinventing the festive diner and the world of Parisian cabaret. The brand was soon exported internationally, with projects under development in Sydney and Istanbul. The agency designs all the decor elements for its projects, from lighting fixtures to chairs, tables and carpets, making furniture publishing an integral part of its expertise.
