Co-Founder - Studio Des Signes
Élise Muchir and Franklin Desclouds met during their graphic design studies at the Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Their shared sensibilities and complementary skills prompted them to found the Des Signes studio in 2002. Together, they specialized in design for major cultural institutions, both public and private, as well as for the fashion, luxury and architecture fields. Posters, iconography, publications, signage systems, websites and digital productions are handled in a sensitive, cross-category manner. Today, this duo works in a variety of fields: contemporary art (the “Villa Albertine” – a new artists’ residence in the U.S., the Fondation Pernod Ricard, The M éditions, Éditions Take 5) / heritage (The Ministry of Culture, the Château de Versailles, Paris Musées) / fashion (Haute Couture Week, Forum de la mode, Diner de la Mode - Sidaction, Cacharel) / luxury (Montblanc, Cartier) and architecture (collaborations with Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Paul Andreu, Michel Desvigne Landscape Design). Creations from the Des Signes studio have been included in the collections of the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris, the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Zürich Gestaltung Museum. They have been frequently recognized with awards on an international level (German Design Awards, Laus Awards, European Design Awards, Graphis, etc.).
