For years now, Marie Dââge has been planning her calendar around the dates of the Maison&Objet fair, where she has exhibited since the founding of her workshop. Marie, who made a name for herself with her bespoke porcelain dishware, will be hosting her clients “In The City” for the second year in a row in her showroom on the rue de Tournon. This event takes pride of place in this Maison’s sales strategy. The creation of Maison&Objet In The City came hot on the heels of the opening of this first Flagship, in 2020. This venue provides the ideal showcase to display the extent of possible personalization offered in her hand-painted tableware: 120 shapes, 230 designs, all to be combined with 68 possible colors, in other words, an infinite number of variations…The table of possible patterns, shapes, and colors is in full view on the walls of the boutique. For In The City, in addition to a new design, bold combinations of shapes and colors will be presented, and intimate cocktail parties will be held. We can’t help but highlight the importance of preparing the terrain for this period using social media so that international visitors have no choice but to include you in their schedule!
The same ebullience will be happening at Pinto on rue du Mail. The specifier audience offered by Maison&Objet In The City is a perfect match for the clientele of this interior design firm founded 50 years ago by Alberto Pinto. Yet another phenomenon has persuaded this Maison to sign up for the first time: on Rue du Mail, the fabric, rug, and furniture design makers’ area, the synergy with other Maisons who are also taking part has come into full play. January is the period for big launches: for the first time, Pinto will be unveiling a bed created in collaboration with Le Lit National. Fahad Hariri, the new owner and Co-Creative Director, has crafted a collection, along with Pietro Scaglione, dedicated to stars and the zodiac.
At Reda Amalou on rue de Varenne, the event will offer them maximum visibility. This designer noticed last time that many visitors were carrying the Guide, which generated so many new contacts that discovered the talents of this designer born in Algeria, whose pieces require all the best in Parisian expert craft and skill: straw inlay from Lison de Caunes and master glasswork from Maison Veronese.
And finally, Paris wouldn’t be Paris without a trip to the Marais. It is in this historic neighborhood that Maison Delisle has its headquarters; they have been fine-art bronze makers since 1895. Their lighting fixtures and other exceptional pieces of furniture are presented within the historic setting of the Hôtel de Canillac on rue du Parc Royal. This Maison hadn’t presented anything publicly since the end of the pandemic and saw its salons spring back to life during its participation in Paris Design Week last September. Welcoming its professional clientele of interior designers and decorators for intimate, exclusive events in this space seemed like the clear choice. Visitors will discover a new lantern designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. His contemporary design has been inspired by classical shapes. This Maison cultivates a lively back-and-forth between modern designs and historic pieces, with each style taking up half their catalog. Amethyst, alabaster, leather and gold leaf, steel, bronze, and copper…such are the many raw materials that inspire design luminaries such as Christian Liaigre or Eliott Barnes here. Delisle is one of the one-hundred Parisian addresses you simply must see in your lifetime.
