Self-portrait. We invite professionals from the lifestyle, culture and communications world to snap six shots that sum up their story. Smartphone in hand, they have fun revealing all the little nothings around which their world revolves. It’s time to take a peek behind closed doors.
Futile object
I don’t see objects as futile things. I always look at them with interest, wondering how they came to be. I’m very fond of the bronze candleholders I designed with Osanna Visconti for Diptyque. Osanna is a brilliant Milanese artist whom we love very much and who welcomed us with great generosity. In my opinion, Osanna is as talented as Claude Lalanne was.
She is one of The Invisible Collection’s favourite artists and a dear friend.
Utile object
I have been collecting Smithson's notebooks since I was fifteen. Some years ago, I met the owner of this iconic brand in London, and I had the opportunity of creating with them a beautiful set of handcrafted correspondence cards for Dior Maison.
Good luck charm
The library in my children's house in Provence: For me, time stands still in this place that feels cut off from the rest of the world, filled with photo albums, letters, and books... It’s as though everything had stopped in the Roaring Twenties. Only when the music plays on, do we realize that, actually, we are in the 21st century!
A souvenir
The Alexandra sofa by Charles Zana that we sell on The Invisible Collection, my first sofa in London, to welcome our large family and our friends.

The Edmund de Wall et Smythson exhibition at the Camondo Museum. This is my favourite museum in the world; I love everything about this house, and I’m deeply moved by the cosmopolitan history of the Camondo family, their generosity and commitment to France and the French museums, the magnificent art collections of the 18th century, which is an era I love. It is impossible to forget the tragic fate of this family and the overwhelming indifference that surrounded their death in Auschwitz.
