Design for the well-being of employees. At a time when the ergonomics of workspaces are changing, Paris Design Week highlights the best of office furniture and fittings.
As an echo of Maison & Objet's "Workspace”, Paris Design Week is contributing to the debate on new workspaces. From Vitra to Herman Miller, from DCW to Moore Design, several showrooms will illustrate the wave of innovation underway in the working world. After years of "open-space blues" and months of COVID, the current preoccupation of companies is to bring their employees back to the office, seduced by the intimacy offered by telecommuting. Born in recent years, the increasingly widespread position of "happiness office manager" speaks volumes about the concern of companies for the well-being of their employees.
Vitra has redesigned its showroom on rue Boudreau in the 9th arrondissement, in the spirit of its "Club Office" concept. Without ever giving in to aesthetics and innovation, the brand presents the creations of its finest signatures: sofas to work Soft Work by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby or Alcove Plus, by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, work tables, partitions "Dancing Wall", the new office is hybrid: friendly and efficient, comfortable, connected and design.
Both importer, distributor, and manufacturer of furniture and fittings, Moore Design is a key player in the sector. Founded in 2012 by Julien Diard, Moore equips all sizes of companies in the hotel and service sector, from fast-growing start-ups -Dashlane, Izipizi- to large groups such as Total, Engie, L'Oréal, or Orange. After nine years in business, Moore has more than 1,400 completed projects and 38 employees. Its purpose: to provide customers with the best furniture and furnishing solutions, selected throughout Europe for their innovative and aesthetic qualities. The combinations offered today are multiple, within the framework of the "Flex office" where each person changes location according to his or her needs at the time: interchangeable workstations, of course, but also soundproofed "pods": small closed units or alcoves equipped with colored acoustic partitions for working or meeting in peace. Emphasis is placed on employee comfort, both physical, with adapted seating and certain workstations where it is possible to work standing up, and psychological and human, with an increasing number of amenities: lockers large enough to store a motorcycle helmet, places for relaxation and hedonistic exchanges, soundproof telephone booths, booths disinfected by an antibacterial blue light...
Moore Design will demonstrate its know-how on September 10, 2021, during Paris Design Week, with the official opening of its new living space. It has been conceived as a showroom, a showcase of innovation, a place of work for its collaborators, and of co-creation with architects and clients. Named Le Five, the building is located on rue Bachaumont in central Paris. The emphasis was placed on new technologies and green spaces, a demand that is constantly increasing among clients. The brands, meanwhile, have adopted a sustainable development approach, offering recycled materials. Moore will exhibit the furniture he creates to measure, but also the best of European design in this field. Wahoo effect guaranteed.
