The great Italian editors hold a permanent showroom in Paris. Pure lines, ultra-contemporary design, impeccable execution, and great signatures are at the rendezvous of Paris Design Week.
On both sides of the Alps, the love story between France and Italy has found a common passion: “Design”. In Paris, the honeymoon is set at Saint Germain des Près, where some of the biggest names have settled in. On Rue des Saints-Pères, we recently introduced the new showroom of Molteni/Dada, installed in the old post office, supplemented by that of Unifor, the « work » branch of the group, on the same street. Unifor will present at Paris Design Week the reissue of four pieces by architect Aldo Rossi from the 1980s, in a staging by Ron Gilad. Boulevard Saint-Germain, Boffi, and rue de la chaise, De Padova, demonstrate the unique expertise of their group by exhibiting « the apartment of tomorrow »: kitchens, bathrooms, but also furniture, and interior architecture. The group has teamed up with the Danes of MA/U Studio, specialists in shelf systems, it benefits from ADL’s expertise for beautiful glass walls or the Japanese artisans of Time&Style Edition.
Boulevard Saint Germain is also home to Paolo Castelli, who will present his Greenkiss line drawn by Hubert de Malherbe and Thierry Lemaire. The publisher drew inspiration from the still lifes of the painter Giorgio Morandi to draw a series of objects, candlesticks, carafes, and lights, as well as a collection of tableware. Later, at Cassina, we rediscover the iconic and rounded sofa Soriana by Afra and Tobia Scarpa, designed in 1969. The only publisher to be able to republish the works of Charlotte Perriand, Cassina will unveil a new selection, also in her showroom on Rue de Turenne. On Boulevard Saint-Germain, you can also visit Karakter's first showroom. The Danish publisher, in association with Cassina, republishes some of the most beautiful European signatures including Joe Colombo, Achile Castiglioni, and Angelo Mangiarotti. For a complete panorama of the luxurious Italian production, the course also includes Rubelli Casa and Giorgetti furniture, rue de l’Abbaye, Poltrona Frau, rue du Bac, and Marazzi ceramic tiles: giant slabs, imitating marble, concrete or wood, among others. Finally, Avenue George V, Luxury Living Group exhibits its flagship brands: Fendi Casa, Bentley Home, Trussardi Casa and Bugatti Home.
