Dorothée Meilichzon

Designer & Founder - Agence Chzon

The CHZON Agency was founded in 2009 in Paris by Dorothée Meilichzon. An industrial design school graduate, she is very attached to developing concepts and attempts, with each project, to tell a new story. The agency is concerned with a space’s historical context, structure and details as well as any quirks that might add more personality to the final result. Thus each project is unique, anchored in its context. Very much attached to her training as a designer and the overall experience offered in each place, Dorothée designs the furniture, lighting, frescos, bas-reliefs, motifs and layouts that will be done by the craftsmen she likes to work with: mosaicists, cabinet-makers, plasterers, upholsterers, marble workers, decorative painters, locksmiths … She also chooses dishes and designs employee outfits, logos and corporate identities. Her agency has done around sixty projects: bars, hotels and restaurants in Paris, London, New York, Venice, Ibiza, Minorca, Cannes and Monaco. Right now the agency is working on hotel projects.
