Odile Hainaut

Founder - Wanted Design

Born in Paris, Odile Hainaut has an educational background combining French Literature, Performing Art and Musicology. Passionate and curious about creativity and the Arts at large. Her immersion in the world of Design deepened in 2007 when she created New York’s Gallery R’Pure, an experimental Gallery space dedicated to contemporary collectable design. From initiating collaborations between designers and artisans, curating exhibits and organizing events to promoting the work of designers and artists from France and from the United States, to new audiences and buyers, to private and cultural organizations, Odile became more and more involved in the New York design scene. She decided to extend her curatorial skills to a larger scale design exhibition in New York. She met Claire Pijoulat in November 2010 and the two decided to combine their vision, expertise and passion to launch WantedDesign in May 2011.

Claire Pijoulat

Claire Pijoulat

Founder - Wanted Design

It was in her parent’s boutique in Annecy France that she was first inspired by design. At a young age, she started to attend design trade shows, gaining exposure to design, interiors and architecture. She earned a Masters Degree in International Business from the University of Turin in Italy. She was then hired by a French furniture brand as Marketing Director for North America, moving her to New York. In 2010, with a great experience and understanding of the American market and the furniture industry, she moved on to pursue her personal endeavors. She was able to apply her diverse market knowledge and design industry expertise to lay the foundations of what would become WantedDesign.
