Interior designer
Paris-based interior designer Anne-Sophie Pailleret is known for creating spaces that feel elegant and precious but never overdone. Her style is sophisticated and grounded in precision. For Anne-Sophie, interior design is a pragmatic endeavor that requires solutions that are both creative and esthetic. The goal is to decorate comfortable and elegant environments that enhance the art of living. To achieve this, she searches for the perfect balance—rooms are pared to their essentials and wonderfully curated. With this new clarity, spaces feel alive. Rooms are freed from superfluous elements that detract from comfort and liberated from visual clutter. And always, there is light, perfectly modulated and controlled so that the overall ambiance radiates warmth. The choice of refined materials, culled from a seemingly infinite selection, is the most fertile ground for creating an atmosphere (including stones, parchment, shagreen, rock crystal, mother-of-pearl, lacquer, bronze, metal or straw marquetry, precious woods). Well-thought out color palettes and fabric selections. Favored elements include richly textured textiles reminiscent of couture clothing fabrics, custom or vintage rugs, decorative paint effects, and custom upholstery and curtains. Beautifully curated furnishings and decorative objects representing a wide range of time periods. Combining pieces from a variety of cultures and styles infuses a room’s decor with a timeless character and gives it soul. PROJECTS The firm’s projects range from private homes (apartments, houses, pieds-a-terre) to public commissions (hotels, restaurants, showrooms). Pierre Gonalons is a product and interior designer based in Paris. Born and raised in Lyon with an Italian culture background, he has early developed French heritage and art history awareness. Camondo school alumni – 2002, Pierre Gonalons very quickly established his singular vision of design and space, he founded his creative studio when he was 23 and his first creations were shown the following year.He defends a minimal design mixed with references to the decorative arts and pop culture. His creations are setting between simplicity and spectacular and revealing a subtle work of interpretation about the subjects he remains faithful and which are his signature. He focuses on the expression of the material and the craftsmanship which he considers to be a major source of inspiration. Beyond the simple function, the object must convey a contemporary meaning and a sincere message. Pierre Gonalons founded ASCETE in 2004 for which he designs collections of lighting, furniture and objects. He has been collaborating in product design with prestigious houses, such as Lalique, Chloé, Nina Ricci, Pernod, Weston and has signed since 2016 its first private interiors.
Founder and President of MINERAL EXPERTISE
MINERAL EXPERTISE is a company specialized in marble and dedicated to the completion of architectural and interior design projects. With over 35 years of experience in sourcing materials around the world, and having acquired a very specific knowledge of quarries and minerals, René Camart has created Mineral Expertise to be a privileged interface between the marble quarries and the finished project, may it be an architectural or an interior design project, even bespoke or limited edition furniture. Through an original vertical integration strategy of all the “marble” and mineral works, his vision is to accompany architects, interior designers and designers from the conception to the final completion of their projects, from sourcing to the installation of the finished product on site, with a constant desire to innovate. At the heart of this philosophy, he is involved in the development and use of innovative technologies that disrupt the codes of the mineral and expand the possibilities of their application. Present in this industry for over 35 years, René Camart is the founder of EDM Group, which he managed for 28 years and eventually brought to become a major player in the world of projects, present on all continents (notably with the opening of EDM China) while emphasizing on innovation, with for instance the implementation and certification of the first light marble process (honeycomb). Between 2004 and 2008, he is also a shareholder and manager of Rocamat SA, leader in natural stone mining in France with 40 quarries on the national territory. In 2006, under his leadership, Rocamat acquires the North American group Polycor which is now the world leader in stone, marble and granite mining with 40 quarries between the United States and Canada.
