Founded in 2003 by Vincent Baranger, Jean-Sébastien Blanc, Anthony Lebossé, and Claire Renard, the 5.5 collective was rapidly propelled to center stage due to their founding Réanim project: object medecine. Other iconic projects quickly followed, writing their history and building their renown. Some have described them as the “enfants terribles” of design, others as eggheads, and yet others as “political tinkerers”. Today, they choose to define themselves as artisans of the idea.
