Designer & Founder - La Terrasse
Erez Nevi Pana (1983) is an explorer who uses design as a significant tool to investigate phenomena through material experimentation. Based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, Nevi Pana formed La Terrasse (2015) as a platform for designers, artists, writers and thinkers to work closely together, share their thoughts on a central theme and realize their visions. As a researcher of materials, he advises companies and corporations in material development and usage, such as architectural purposes, a concept car made out of biodegradable substances, etc. Nevi Pana has developed an organic material mixture of soil and fungi which has become a part of the permanent collection of the Design Museum Holon. Erez holds a Bachelor Design degree from the Holon Institute of Technology (IL) and a Masters of Design degree from the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL). His Masters thesis focuses on the recrystallization of salt, an invention which has been patented.
Designer
The Sebastian Cox workshop and studio were founded in 2010 on the principle that a traditional approach could be radical and that the past can be used to design and make the future. Without nostalgia or sentimentality but with respectful inventiveness and new technology. Our ancestors used a relatively limited palette of biodegradable and renewable materials creatively, to make objects that were functional, simple, understandable and as a result, beautiful. Together with his team, Sebastian immerses himself in our material history and reinvigorates traditional materials and ways of making to drive change in our material culture.
