Serena Borghero is currently Director of Media Relations and Communications Research, EMEA, for Steelcase, global leader in workspace outfitting and office furniture. Just before taking this job, she was EMEA Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations Manager for Coalesse, a Steelcase brand. Serena Borghero started her professional career in marketing at Heineken. She joined Steelcase in 2002, where she took on a variety of roles. She has been Communications and Marketing Manager for Steelcase site in Strasbourg (France), then she directed the Italian Marketing team, and joined Steelcase’s top management for the Benelux region as Marketing, Sustainable Development, and Workspace Knowledge Manager. Her expertise is focused on the workplace environment and RSE. Serena Borghero was born in Milan (Italy), where she studied Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan and at the UCL in Brussels. She loves sharing her experiences and sparking debate on sustainable development and new ways of working by participating in conferences and workshops on a regular basis. She has lived and worked in over 7 countries and currently lives in Amsterdam (Netherlands) with her family.
