Each month, MINI and Maison&Objet share their hand-picked selection of three exciting design events. Travelling may currently be impossible, but there are still plenty of projects out there.
This June, Maison&Objet and MINI invite you to delve into an assortment of ideas, innovations and initiatives to accompany change within our working environments. Maison&Objet unveils an online think tank involving the sector’s key players to explore what is now a vital topic, and a White Paper that focuses on how our workspaces can be reshaped. The workspaces at MINI Living Shanghai, meanwhile, offer a brand new outlook on city life.
Maison&Objet, digital transformation specialist Fabernovel, and Morning, France’s leading provider of coworking spaces: these three experts have joined forces to launch ReSPACE, a veritable think tank exploring changes in our working environments. Nomadic working, flex offices, teleworking... the aim of this discussion and exploration platform is to examine changes in workplace habits and design and to provide firms with innovative solutions. Workshops and conferences will be held at one of Morning’s Parisian addresses as soon as the circumstances permit, and will be launched online as of this June with a key inaugural webinar: “Redesigning the workplace to protect employee health”.
It’s already possible to get a feel for what an innovative workspace actually feels like at MINI Living Shanghai. The building’s philosophy and design centre on open access to the city, and the venue is so much more than simply a coworking space. Over 45% of the former paint factory is filled with residential accommodation, cultural areas, social spaces that stimulate interaction, shops and restaurants, fostering its integration in the buzzing Jing’Ang district. The successful balance this one-of-a-kind venue strikes is thoroughly inspiring.
Maison&Objet continues to build on Work!, the ideas laboratory and show sector that turns the spotlight on working environments and hybrid living spaces, by publishing a White Paper for the second year running. Focusing on workspace organisation and design, “Flexibility @Work”, which was put together at the height of the crisis, underscores the extent to which previously identified trends have gained momentum as a result of the challenges raised at this unprecedented time.
