Paris Design Week 2021 - L’Etoffe du design / The Fabric of Design - Levièvre Paris-Diorama

Fabrics, cushions, curtains, carpets, etc. The major French and foreign publishers take part in Paris Design Week.

Patterns, colors, exclusive materials, a fall, a touch, a technicality. Around Place des Victoires and Saint Germain des prés, fabric publishers are probably the most sensual way to approach design in this new season. In the great French tradition, Paris Design Week welcomes for the first time Lelièvre, who for the occasion will reveal a collaboration with the decorator and ensemblier Leleu, another house of more than a century of existence. Lelièvre also invites interior architect Fabrice Juan to exhibit his new pieces of exclusive furniture.
Still on rue du Mail, at number 23, three houses have a common showroom, Edmond Petit fabrics, Codimat rugs, and Meriguet-Carrere paintings. At number 13, Houlès will present its new collection Neva as well as its collaborations with Bambi Sloan and the American designer Michael Aiduss. At number 17 Kvadrat invites the brand new French publishing house Souchet Inspired Woodwork, created by cabinetmaker Nicolas Souchet. Under the artistic direction of the designer Grégory Lacoua, the wood marries contemporary forms where one reads both the mastery of the hand and the prowess of digital. Rue Etienne Marcel, the decorator and fabric editor Bérengère Leroy makes linen and velvet sing, inspired by the softness of life Provençale. On Place des Victoires, Toiles de Mayenne presents « Poetic Alchemy » a collection of very advanced material blends and exhibits five amazing chandeliers made by ID Textile, from falls, selvages, and ends of linen chains recovered in his workshops.

As for Saint-Germain, publishers can discover one of the most charming squares in Paris, the place Furstenberg. It includes Manuel Canovas, its colorful weaves and motifs, and the group's brands: Larsen, and the British Colefax&Fowler and Jane Churchill. Then, Métaphores, its Lyon silks from the Verel de Belval workshops, as well as its unique know-how on horsehair weaving, in an ultra-contemporary spirit. Métaphores invites the interior designers of Studio Parisien to exhibit their furniture as part of the AD Course. After a detour on rue de l’abbaye, at Rubelli, direction rue Bonaparte, where the Italian Dedar is next to Nobilis, who invites you to Bismuth&Bismuth for the occasion. The two brothers' architects will be exhibiting their latest series of exceptional furniture. Finally, Elitis, rue Saint-Benoît, will not fail its reputation as a researcher and innovator. The brand will showcase incredible oriental woven linen prints, 3D effects, hand-made games, and textures.
