Want to present your work in front of one of the most prestigious courtyards in Paris? This is what Paris Design Week allows you to do, from September 9 to 18.
A monumental needle reflecting the sun's rays by Houle Studio, an immense interactive sculpture by Jasper Zehetgruber, and a monolith signed Ublik dialogue with the classical architecture of the Hotel d'Albret at the heart of the Marais: this is the outdoor exhibition that all these designers, both veterans and newcomers, were privileged to participate in during the last edition of Paris Design Week. What do they have in common? Whether already famous or unknown, they all seized this opportunity by applying during the Spring season to exhibit in a prestigious venue belonging to the City of Paris, a partner of this initiative alongside Ateliers de Paris. Each of them succeeded in financing the production and installation of their work, with the help of institutional or private partners. This year the event has been renamed “Design on a Courtyard”. The key to this is international visibility, thanks to the promotional resources made available to them and to the thousands of visitors to the Parisian design fortnight. This year, the spirit of the event is inspired by renewal, renewed lightness, and the desire for "desirable development". So, what are you waiting for?
