Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert presents a sculptural work at the Hôtel de la Marine. As a gem of the 18th century, the building houses a modern installation of blown glass discs in its grand courtyard. Depicting the formation of a star, the artwork engages in a dialogue between the past and the present, the earthly and the celestial, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary creation. While the hotel is rooted in immutable stone, symbolizing constancy and longevity, the glass installation captures both the constant flow of the cosmos, its ever-changing nature, and its ephemeral character. The in-situ installation consists of 80 blown glass discs, with a total area of approximately 11 meters in length and 4 meters in width. See more
