SK8 is DESIGN After working on the "ENJOY" theme last year, intelligently blending notions of eco-responsibility, aesthetics and innovation, our 1st-year Graphic Art Director students have this time moved into a new territory, one that can be used to infinite effect in terms of design: skateboarding. SK8 is Design, or the idea of interpreting skateboarding in infinite ways! Students will break away from the object's usual, expected function to approach this street-art icon in an unexpected, timeless and...DESIGN way! They'll also look to the world of craftsmanship for resources to produce a less expected design: crystal, burnt wood, cabinetmaking - skateboarding is also material for imagining jewelry and precious objects.
