APPARTEMENT-ATELIER DE LE CORBUSIER

Opéra / Concorde / Etoile

The apartment-studio occupies the top two floors of a highly innovative building designed between 1931 and 1934 by Le Corbusier and his associate Pierre Jeanneret, on the border between Paris and Boulogne. With eight floors of all-glass facades, he created the first glass apartment building. Since 2016, the Molitor building has been listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site, along with sixteen other major sites by Le Corbusier. The 240m2 duplex Apartment has been designed to accommodate Le Corbusier's living quarters and painting studio. Bathed in light and open to nature, it features all the elements of Le Corbusier's architectural language: the open plan, the long horizontal windows, the roof terrace, the polychromy, and the huge pivoting doors that partition the space as much as they fluidify it.
